Ingredients:
- 5 eggs beaten
- 3 ounces bittersweet chocolate
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 4 ounces chopped walnuts (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 3 ounces unsalted butter
Directions:
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Step 2:
Butter a 9×9 pan.
Step 3:
Place the chocolate and butter in a bowl and microwave in 30 second shots, until melted. Meanwhile, mix together in another bowl the cocoa powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
Step 4:
When chocolate and butter are melted, whisk in the sugar and blend well.
Step 5:
Mix in the eggs until well blended.
Step 6:
Add dry ingredients, including walnuts.
Step 7:
Place in oven and cook until the center starts to rise about 45-55 minutes.
Step 8:
Let cool completely before eating. Best to let sit in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight.
