April 15, 2022

Enlist your kitchen gadgets to do double duty and use your waffle iron to make fun pressed sandwiches—toddlers will like the bumpy pattern it creates on the bread! Almond butter, honey, and bananas make another good waffle-sandwich filling. And baby won’t know it, but this is a great source of vitamin K, thanks to the bread and butter!

  • butter for grilling

Directions:

Step 1:

Heat the waffle iron. Spread the cream cheese on one slice of bread and the jam on the other. Close the sandwich, lightly butter the outsides, and place in the waffle iron until crisp and golden, 3 to 4 minutes.
